September 2016 marks the sixth annual Canada’s Democracy Week (CDW2016), and we need your help to make it a success. Community-based organizations are ideally suited to reach out to youth, Canadians at large, ministries of education and schools.

Support and Promote

  • Promote CDW2016 on your website
    • Take a look at the CDW2016 toolkit for shareable resources
    • Display the Canada's Democracy Week logo on your website and link to democracy-democratie.ca
    • Post an article about CDW2016 on your website
    • Post a message or blog on your website about participating in CDW2016
  • Promote CDW2016 on your social media channels
    • Follow Canada's Democracy Week on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube
    • Use the hashtags #CDW2016 and #demcda to join the conversation
    • Tweet and post about CDW2016 to your networks
  • Spread the word to your networks
    • Tell your network groups all about CDW2016

Announce

  • Announce your initiative to coincide with CDW2016
    • Do you have a new civic education program or an interesting research report almost ready for release? Launch it to coincide with CDW2016
    • Issue a news release or conduct media interviews to promote your new resource and CDW2016
  • Be a Canada's Democracy Week guest blogger
